This year, the internationally renowned bulb flower show has plenty of ideas in store for you. In a venue of more than 3,000 m2 at our new location in Zwaagdijk, you will find a floral arrangement with various moods that fire your imagination. Walk through the flower garden and let yourself be inspired by established traditions and new opportunities. Imagine that spring has come while you walk among the hundreds of varieties of tulips, hyacinths, lilies, crocuses and other bulbous flowers.
The purity of nature is something many of us feel attracted to and the trends ‘Legend of the Sea’ and ‘Mystic Nature’ that are the focal point of the Holland Flowers Festival complement those feelings. Legends of the Sea is characterised by fresh, crystal-clear hues and materials exposed to the sun, salt and wind. Mystic Nature has warm colours and austere, dramatic shapes. Together they form the backdrop to this revitalised bulbous flower exhibition. Take a look at the latest in bulb trends that captivate both producers and consumers and let yourself be bewitched!
Activities in abundance
* The flower garden is bulging with ideas: flowers in their thousands, in surroundings with soft, white fur, an old beach hut, a natural show-box made of willow, antler tines, and creative colourful sculptures. This year’s presentation literally gets off the ground: raised, hanging or on the wall.
* Nobody in any way involved in the flower bulb sector should miss the agribeurs, the agricultural exhibition. With more than 50 participating companies, this is the place to be for getting in touch with colleagues in the sector. (Tuesday to Friday, inclusive) * Proeftuin Zwaagdijk, an experimental garden, gives you an inside look in the glasshouses where you can watch organic cultivation tests. (Tuesday to Friday, inclusive). * Are you familiar with bulbs? Come and look, feel and smell bulbs in three very special spheres!
On Saturday and Sunday (21 and 22 February), you will have the opportunity to take part in various activities or buy articles that blend well with your individual house or garden style:
* Creative workshops and demonstrations, including flower cutting and cooking
* Sales and demonstrations of house or garden decorations
* ‘Surprising’ and ‘mystic’ are expressions used to describe the artistic works, including sculptures, that can be seen at various places throughout the exhibition.
