When you take a peek at these statistics you might say the future looks rather bright.
The Orientals shrunk a great 13,6% and prospects are more shrinkage for next year.

We will give you a short conclusion per lily-group.

Asiatics: an (unexpected) large shrinkage and again the yellow coloured cultivars lost the most followed by orange (Elite®), pink (Vivaldi®) and red. The white coloured cultivars seem to be lucky. At this moment the shrinkage doesn’t lead to higher prices, but we can expect that the Asiatics will get more attention in the coming years.

Now we will join the Asiatics and L.A.-hybrids.

L.A.-hybrids: There was a truly unexpected shrinkage in the L.A.-hybrids. There is some major shifting in this group. The yellow shrinkage in the Asiatics is hard to compensate by the yellow L.A.-hybrids. The pink coloured L.A.-hybrids contributes almost completely to the shrinkage in the L.A.-hybrids (only the hybrid Brindisi® expands according to the expectations).
The expansion of Menorca® is being compensated by decreasing the amount of Donau® and Salmon Classic®. The influence of the increasing white Créme is also very big in the L.A.-hybrids.
But there has to be some caution concerning the mentioned colours in both groups (Asiatics and L.A.-hybrids). The prices won’t rise immediately after the shrinkage in both groups.
Also can one moment of unawareness make al this shrinkage go away. We must be aware to stay on the road we’re heading for right now.

Longiflorums: There was an unexpected growth of 14% which was caused for almost 7% by White Heaven. We expected this group to become popular, because the flower prices were rather good. Nowadays the prices don’t grow anymore, but shrink just a little bit. This is caused by an expected decrease of prices for Snow Queen.

OT-hybrids: There was an expected growth, expecially of Yelloween®.
